Summary

American River Water Polo Club’s 2026 10u Summer program offers a competitive co-ed water polo experience for young athletes. Open to boys and girls 10 and under, the season runs from May 12, 2026 to July 16, 2026. Players will build fundamental skills, learn team concepts, and develop confidence in a fun, supportive and challenging environment.

Description

Prior experience with American River WPC is not required, though some water polo experience is recommended. Good swimming ability is a must.  Athletes that are unsure if they will be able to keep up or if they will enjoy this level of water polo are encouraged to register and attend the first practice. This program is intended to provide a higher level of structure and competition than our Youth League and prepare athletes to play on the 12U and older competitive club teams.

Practices are meant to increase water polo knowledge in a fun environment.  With more regular practices with like-minded athletes we hope to establish a love for the sport.

This program runs from May 12th - July 16th

Practice schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays - 7:30p-8:45p
Sundays - 2:00p-4:00p

No practice July 2nd or 5th

Practices are at Rio del Oro Sports Club: 119 Scripps Dr., Sacramento, CA 95825

All 10u participants will also be invited to friday youth league game days at Rio Americano High School on July 10 and July 17, 6:15p-7:30p. It is also a goal to schedule some scrimmages with other local clubs and/or within our ARWPC 10u group.

Program Fee is $250.
Participants are NOT required to register with USA Water Polo for this program, however, those looking to participate in tournaments will need to register (i.e. JO quals and JO's).
